An autonomous and independent association, consisting of all lawyers, exercising the profession, was re-established by Decree-Law No 90/1990 as subsequently amended and completed, especially by Law No 51/1995 referring to the organisation and activity of lawyer's profession, defending the professional interest of its members and activates for the social status and prestige of the legal profession.
